The Savannah Bananas are gearing up for an exciting 2025 season after experiencing a successful year of sold-out games across the country in 2024. On Thursday night, they announced their upcoming schedule during the 2025 Banana Ball World Tour City Draft.
Next season will see the expansion of the league to four teams with the introduction of the Texas Tailgaters. The Bananas will not only compete in 18 Major League Baseball stadiums but will also host games in three football stadiums, including two NFL venues and Clemson’s Death Valley.
Looking further ahead, Banana Ball is set to expand to a six-team league with a 60-game schedule nationwide in 2026.
For fans eager to catch a game next year, the Bananas have revealed their schedule, which includes 30 home games. The home opener is planned for February 21, featuring matchups primarily against the Party Animals. The month of February kicks off the season, with additional games scheduled throughout the spring and summer.
In addition to their home games, the Bananas will travel to 18 MLB stadiums in 2025, increasing from the five stadiums they visited last year. Notable locations include Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC, and Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.
Team owner Jesse Cole emphasized the unique opportunities that come with adapting Banana Ball to football fields, which could involve changes to outfield dimensions to enhance the game’s excitement.
The Texas Tailgaters, the new addition to the league, will bring a festive spirit inspired by the well-known Texas tailgating culture, with plans for an engaging pregame atmosphere.
Additionally, the 2025 season will culminate in a championship tournament held at Grayson Stadium, casting the event as a Tour Championship, which sets the foundation for the establishment of a professional Banana Ball league in 2026. Cole envisions a competitive and dynamic experience for fans with a focus on creating engaging storylines through more teams and matches.
