The season will kick off on July 10 and run through September 1, featuring a total of 40 days of horse racing, including notable races such as the 156th DraftKings Travers with a purse of $1.25 million on August 23 and the prestigious $1 million Whitney on August 2.
Racing will take place five days a week after the opening week, with first post times set for 1:10 p.m. daily, except for Saturdays, which will begin at 12:35 p.m. Special post times include Whitney Day at 12:05 p.m. and DraftKings Travers Day at 11:40 a.m. Gates will open for live racing at 11 a.m. on most days, with early openings on Whitney Day at 10 a.m. and DraftKings Travers Day at 9 a.m.
Among the highlights of the meet are a series of fan-centric events, including:
– **Saratoga Pennant Giveaway**: A commemorative felt pennant will be available on August 8 for fans who pay admission while supplies last.
– **Corgi Competition**: Scheduled for August 10, where fans can register their Corgis for a competition on the main track.
– **Stewart’s Shops Day at the Races**: On August 13, visitors can enjoy free scoops of award-winning ice cream.
– **Military Appreciation Day**: On August 14, there will be special tributes for active military members and veterans, including free admission with military ID.
Additionally, Saratoga’s Breakfast and Breeding Farm tours will be conducted every Thursday through Sunday during the meet, featuring guided tours of local breeding farms alongside a buffet breakfast.
