The San Francisco Giants are excited to kick off their 2023 season with the annual FanFest at Oracle Park on March 14. Attendees will have the chance to interact with Giants alumni and the beloved mascot Lou Seal, as well as engage in on-field activities and view the prestigious World Series trophies. The event will also include a live broadcast of the Giants’ spring training game from Scottsdale on the scoreboard, providing fans with a taste of the season ahead.

On the same day, the city will celebrate Irish culture with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, marking its remarkable 175th anniversary. The festivities commence at 11:30 a.m., starting at Second and Market Street, and make their way to City Hall. Participants can look forward to various activities, entertainment, food, and drink options.

As the month progresses, more exciting events are lined up. On March 19, The St. Regis San Francisco will honor Women’s History Month by hosting a special dinner in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot at their stunning restaurant, Astra. This event promises a luxurious culinary experience.

For ballet enthusiasts, the San Francisco Ballet will present the captivating story of Don Quixote from March 19 to March 29. This enchanting performance tells a classic love story through exquisite dance.

Food lovers can look forward to the Pigs & Pinot event on March 20-21, hosted by renowned chef Charlie Palmer at Appellation Healdsburg. Celebrating its 19th year, the event will feature collaborations between father-and-son chef duos and an all-female gala winemaker lineup.

Additionally, Palio will host a special dinner for La Festa di San Giuseppe from March 20-21, celebrating Italy’s Father’s Day with a delectable prix-fixe menu.

The Artisan Cheese Festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary, will take place from March 20-22, offering cheese lovers a chance to partake in farm tours, a bustling marketplace, and informative seminars.

On March 21, Union Square will transform into a vibrant display of color for Tulip Day, where attendees can gather blooming bouquets from 1 to 4:30 p.m. This initiative is part of Union Square in Bloom, showcasing the beauty of spring.

The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus will also delight audiences with a Totally 80s concert on March 21, featuring hit songs from iconic artists like Madonna and Tina Turner, celebrating themes of self-discovery and connection.

Closing out the month, the Red Cross Gala will return for its 31st annual event, combining a cocktail reception, dinner, award ceremony, and dancing in a wonderful evening to support a noble cause. Lastly, the Mark Foehringer Dance Project will honor its 30th anniversary with a special performance of Alice in Wonderland on March 28-29 at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.
