Samantha Irvin Bids Farewell to WWE: What’s Next for the Beloved Announcer?

Samantha Irvin, known as the voice of “WWE Raw” on the USA Network, announced on Monday that she will no longer serve as the ring announcer for the wrestling program. In a heartfelt message on the social media platform X, Irvin expressed her deep affection for her fans and reassured them that this decision does not signify the end of her artistic journey.

Irvin did not disclose the reasons for her departure but took the opportunity to thank several individuals within WWE, including the female roster, the production crew of Raw, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, and the wrestlers. She highlighted the uniqueness of WWE entertainment, stating, “There is no form of entertainment like this and not just any entertainer can be a WWE Superstar. You are the stars that the stars idolize.”

Originally from Dennis, Irvin grew up in New Bedford and gained recognition for her vocal talent, reaching the semi-finals of Season 10 of “America’s Got Talent.” She showcased her skills further by participating in an episode of FOX’s “I Can See Your Voice” and performing in Cirque du Soleil and “Vegas! The Show” as Tina Turner.

In 2021, she joined WWE as the ring announcer for “205 Live” on Peacock. A lifelong wrestling fan, Irvin recounted in an interview how she would meticulously document WWE matches and create her own commentaries as a child. She later became the ring announcer for WWE SmackDown and transitioned to “Raw” in 2023.

Irvin received widespread acclaim for her performance at WrestleMania 40, with legendary announcer Michael Buffer praising her emotional delivery and timing during the event.

Regarding her future, Irvin did not confirm any plans to join her fiancé, professional wrestler Trevor Dean Mann, also known as Ricochet, in All Elite Wrestling, where he recently signed. She concluded her announcement with a mysterious message for her fans, indicating that more is to come.
