The latest recall involves four packs of tomatoes produced by Ray and Mascari, Inc. and affects 11 states, adding to a previous recall that impacted three additional states.
The tomatoes in question are packaged as 4 Count Vine Ripe Tomatoes in plastic clamshell containers weighing 20 ounces (1 lb. 4 oz) with a UPC# 7 96553 20062 1. The affected lot numbers are RM250424 15250B or RM250427 15250B, as noted on the master case label.
These tomatoes were distributed in Gordon Food Service Stores across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Previously, a recall was issued affecting tomatoes in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, linked to Williams Farms Repack, LLC and H&C Farms tomatoes with lot codes R4467 or R4470.
Consumers should not ingest any tomatoes included in either recall; they should dispose of them or return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
