Tegucigalpa, Honduras (February 8, 2025) – The National Police have initiated a comprehensive security operation at the National Stadium “Chelato Uclés” in Tegucigalpa in anticipation of the highly awaited superclásico between FC Motagua and Olimpia, taking place for the third match of the 2025 Apertura Tournament.
Over 600 police officers are involved in the operation, aiming to ensure a safe and orderly environment for fans before, during, and after the match. The security plan encompasses thorough entry checks, internal and external patrols, and special measures designed to prevent incidents both inside and outside the stadium.
Authorities have urged fans to enjoy the game in a spirit of respect and camaraderie, emphasizing that there will be constant surveillance to avoid any disturbances to public order.
FC Motagua has made 13,730 tickets available, which are distributed across various sections of the National Stadium for the historic 286th superclásico against Olimpia. Gates will open for fans at 2:00 pm, while police access points will close at 1:00 pm to enhance control in the vicinity of the stadium.
In the Sol Sur section, visitors can enter wearing different colored shirts, allowing Olimpia supporters without their team’s jersey to attend. Ticket prices for today’s match are set at 600 Lempira (seating), 300 Lempira (shade), and 200 Lempira (north and south sun sections).
Everything is arranged for one of the most eagerly anticipated games in Honduran football to kick off at 5:15 pm at the “Chelato” Uclés Stadium.
