This weekend, Sabrina Carpenter is set to make her debut as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. In a series of new promotional videos for the episode, she displays her charismatic personality and quick wit. When cast member Marcello Hernandez quips whether she is intimidated by her hosting duties, Carpenter confidently responds, “Me? I perform in front of thousands of screaming fans every night.”

However, her bravado takes a humorous turn when she adds, “No. I’m terrified. But not of hosting. Deep down, my greatest fear is…” Both Carpenter and Hernandez then reveal their shared fear of encountering a dentist with a long beard, causing a moment of comic disbelief as they simply walk off together.

The promos are filled with playful banter that highlights Carpenter’s dynamic stage presence. She offers motivational support to viewers tackling mundane tasks like washing dishes and makes a cheeky remark about “arresting” the cameraman for being too attractive, a reference to her recent performances on her Short n’ Sweet Tour.

Hernandez, who previously appeared alongside Carpenter during her concert in Los Angeles where he played his flirtatious SNL character Domingo, adds familiarity and excitement to the skits. Highlights from their previous interactions include Hernandez’s bold declaration of being from Miami and Carpenter’s cheeky comment wishing he was from her “bedroom,” which amassed cheers from the audience.

Carpenter’s appearance this weekend marks a significant moment, as it is her first time hosting SNL, though she’s already familiar with the show from her previous stint as a musical guest in May 2024 and her contributions during the SNL50 special alongside legends like Paul Simon and Pedro Pascal.

Currently, she is back on her Short n’ Sweet Tour while promoting her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, released in August. Fans can catch her live with six upcoming shows in Los Angeles, concluding on November 23.

Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and is also available for streaming on Peacock. Fans eagerly await her comedic debut and musical performance, promising a night filled with entertainment.
