RUSH fans have a thrilling reason to celebrate as the iconic band is set to return to New York City for a highly anticipated series of performances. For the first time in over a decade, co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will embark on a tour, bringing their classic sound to Madison Square Garden for four unforgettable shows on July 28, July 30, August 1, and August 3, 2026.
The tour, titled “Fifty Something,” will honor the band’s rich musical legacy and pay tribute to the late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who sadly passed away from Glioblastoma on January 7, 2020. Joining Lee and Lifeson in this special lineup will be German drummer Anika Nilles, known for her work with the late Jeff Beck and her impressive solo career.
Fans eager to secure their tickets can mark their calendars for the public sale on October 17 at 12 p.m. via Ticketmaster. For those who miss the general sale, other ticket vendors such as Vivid Seats, StubHub, SeatGeek, TicketNetwork, and Viagogo are also offering options. Currently, ticket prices for the shows start at $336 for the August 3 show, going up to $402 for the July 30 performance.
This tour is not only a major moment for RUSH fans but also a significant milestone for the band, as it marks Lee and Lifeson’s first tour together since the conclusion of their “R40 Tour” in 2015. The excitement surrounding this comeback reflects the enduring appreciation for RUSH’s contributions to rock music.
As RUSH gears up to hit the road again, fans can look forward to an extraordinary celebration of music that honors the past while looking forward to the future. Other artists, including Tate McRae and Andrea Bocelli, will also grace Madison Square Garden in the coming months, indicating a vibrant performance scene in New York City.
