Iconic rock band Rush, featuring Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee, has announced a highly anticipated return to Detroit as part of their Fifty Something comeback tour scheduled for 2026. The group is set to perform at Little Caesars Arena on August 26, marking their first concert in Michigan in over ten years and the first since the passing of drummer Neil Peart in 2020.
Fans eager to attend can register now for a presale event, which will run from noon on October 27 through midnight on October 29. General ticket sales will commence on October 31 at noon via Ticketmaster.
Alongside Lifeson and Lee, the band will feature German drummer Anika Nilles, promising a dynamic setlist that will draw from Rush’s extensive catalog, developed over five decades. This announcement has garnered positive feedback from dedicated fans and support from Peart’s family, recognizing his legacy as one of rock’s most celebrated drummers.
The performance at Little Caesars Arena is part of a new wave of tour dates added to the Fifty Something itinerary, which now includes 17 cities following the initial seven-city announcement. The tour will kick off on June 7 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
Detroit has always held a special place for Rush, with a history of strong connections to the Michigan fanbase. Lifeson expressed this sentiment in a past interview, stating, “There’s always been a great affinity between us and the fans there. The Midwest is such a strong rock area…so it’s always a treat for us.”
This return to Detroit not only represents a continuation of Rush’s storied legacy but also showcases their enduring relationship with fans in the region, promising an exciting experience for attendees.
