The Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel, Honourable Ms. Sharren Haskel, engaged with members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) during a visit to Albert Park in Suva. This meeting recognized the significant contributions made by the RFMF towards the development of rugby in Israel and emphasized the role rugby plays in strengthening the relations between the two nations.
Ms. Haskel expressed her gratitude to the Commander of the RFMF and Warrant Officer Class Two Napolioni Naulia, who has previously been the Head Coach for the Israel Sevens Team, highlighting their efforts in advancing rugby within Israel. She recognized rugby as a unifying force, bridging communities through teamwork and mutual passion, and praised the participation of Fijian players in Israeli teams, which underscores the enduring friendship between Fiji and Israel.
