In a significant stride towards enhancing collaboration and player development, the Lilian Amazons Rugby Club has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Cheltenham North Rugby Football Club in the United Kingdom. This partnership aims to pave the way for player and coach exchanges and facilitate the sharing of best practices in club management, as well as promote both clubs and their respective rugby cultures.

As part of the agreement, player exchanges will play a crucial role, with two players from the Lilian Amazons currently in the UK. Two more are set to embark on their journey today, while additional players are awaiting the approval of their visas to travel next month.

“This MOU is a dream come true for our players. It opens a vital door for our Amazons to gain experience in the highly competitive environment of UK rugby, bringing back invaluable lessons to Fiji,” stated a representative from the Lilian Amazons.

Representatives from Cheltenham North expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, viewing it as a valuable opportunity to learn from the excellence of sevens rugby, further enriching their training and competitive strategies.

The collaboration underscores a hopeful future not just for the clubs involved, but also for the players who stand to benefit from increased exposure and experience on an international stage, fostering growth in both their skills and rugby knowledge.
