Rowan University has announced the closure of its campuses and facilities due to severe weather conditions expected in the area. The closure will take effect at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, and will continue through Monday, February 23.

Essential personnel are advised to coordinate their schedules with supervisors, while all other employees and students are instructed to refrain from visiting any Rowan locations during this period. In light of the anticipated storm’s intensity, all classes have been canceled, and non-essential staff members are not required to work.

However, exceptions apply for certain facilities on the Glassboro campus. The Wellness Center, recreational facilities, and student centers will remain open to support on-campus students. Those interested in visiting these facilities should check their websites for any adjustments to operating hours.

For students and faculty associated with the Cooper Medical School, Virtua Health School of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, further instructions regarding virtual courses will be communicated by their respective deans. Additionally, Rowan Medicine and Shreiber Veterinary Teaching Hospital will provide their staff and students with updates regarding operational status through further notifications.

For further details on campus closures, individuals are encouraged to visit the Rowan University Campus Closures Guidelines available on the Emergency Preparedness website.
