Rosalía Reveals First Look at LUX With Surreal ‘Berghain’ Video

Rosalía has unveiled a captivating first look at her forthcoming album, LUX, through the release of the music video for “Berghain,” directed by Nicolás Méndez and filmed in Warsaw. This visually striking piece features collaborations with acclaimed artists Björk and Yves Tumor, further enhancing its artistic depth.

The surreal video showcases Rosalía’s journey, beginning in her apartment and progressing through varied settings such as a packed bus, a jewelry store, and a doctor’s office, all while accompanied by an orchestra and an array of animals. Described by Columbia as “the grand orchestral centerpiece” of the album’s second movement, the track promises to be an “operatic journey across languages and emotion,” shifting from delicate introspection to expansive cinematic power.

The eagerly anticipated album, LUX, is slated for release on November 7. It was meticulously crafted with the London Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Daníel Bjarnason, featuring contributions from a talented lineup of vocalists including Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, the Escolania de Montserrat, and Cor Cambra Palau de la Música Catalana, as well as Yahritza.

Fans will be pleased to know that the CD and vinyl editions of LUX will release with three exclusive tracks, available for pre-order now. This album follows the incredible success of MOTOMAMI, which not only dominated charts in Spain and Portugal but also secured the top spot on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart. Rosalía continues to push artistic boundaries, offering a blend of innovative sounds and visuals that promise to resonate deeply with her audience.
