Dave Grohl, the Grammy Award-winning rock star and frontman of Foo Fighters, recently revealed that he has welcomed a new baby daughter outside of his 21-year marriage. In an Instagram post, Grohl shared the news, stating, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside my marriage,” and expressed his commitment to being a loving and supportive father.
Grohl, who has been married to his wife, Jordyn Blum, since 2003, has three daughters with her: Violet, Harper, and Ophelia. The couple was spotted together at Wimbledon in July. In his announcement, Grohl emphasized his love for his wife and children, mentioning that he is working hard to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. He did not disclose the identity of the mother of his new daughter.
Foo Fighters, formed by Grohl in 1993 after his time as the drummer for Nirvana, has seen several lineup changes over the years. The current members include Chris Shiflett, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, and Rami Jaffee, with drummer Josh Freese joining the band following the death of Taylor Hawkins in 2022. The band recently played their largest show ever in Denver, Colorado, as part of their tour promoting their 11th album. Grohl told the audience, “This is the biggest American Foo Fighters show we have ever played in 30 years.”
