RJ Harvey Emerges as Broncos’ Rookie Running Back to Watch

Denver Broncos rookie running back RJ Harvey is making a significant impact in his first NFL season, projecting to accumulate 700 yards from scrimmage and secure double-digit touchdowns. This impressive achievement comes while he shares the backfield with veteran J.K. Dobbins.

So far this season, Harvey has carried the ball 46 times for 205 yards and two rushing touchdowns, averaging 4.5 yards per attempt. His contributions extend beyond just rushing, as he has also been effective in the passing game, with 23 receptions for 166 yards and four receiving touchdowns, averaging 7.2 yards per catch.

Highlighting his remarkable performance, Harvey has now recorded a touchdown reception in three consecutive games, making him the first rookie in Broncos history to accomplish this feat. His four receiving touchdowns are now tied with Emeke Egbuka for the most by any rookie this season and set a franchise record for a rookie running back. With eight more games to go in the season, the potential for Harvey to further elevate his stats is promising.

Coach Sean Payton has praised Harvey’s development, stating, “We’re just starting to see right in front of our eyes is the guy that we felt strongly about and he can go.” The duo of Harvey and Dobbins has combined for a remarkable 1,096 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns, showcasing their effectiveness together in the Broncos’ offense.

As Harvey continues to evolve in his role, fans are excited to see how he and Dobbins will further contribute to the team’s success throughout the remainder of the season.
