Additionally, a physical altercation took place when a student attacked a teacher in a former technical college’s car park in Nausori. Another case in Navua saw a student punch a teacher inside a classroom, highlighting the need for improved safety measures within educational environments.
Radrodro also reviewed previous reports, indicating that in 2024 there were three cases of teacher assaults, one of which included the disturbing sexual exposure incident. Other instances of verbal and physical abuse arose when teachers confronted students about inappropriate behavior, illustrating that these troubling encounters are not limited to one-off events.
