Rise Taveuni Campaign Sparks Fiji's Youth to Chase Big Dreams

Rise Taveuni Campaign Fuels Fiji’s Youth Ambition

The energetic launch of the Rise Taveuni Campaign aims to inspire and motivate the youth of Taveuni by encouraging them to seize opportunities and tackle challenges to realize their potential. At a gathering of over 400 students, Minister for Policing Ioane Naivalurua delivered an encouraging message, sharing his personal journey from humble beginnings to a respected governmental role, demonstrating that with determination and ambition, dreams can indeed be fulfilled.

Minister Naivalurua highlighted the impact of present choices on future outcomes, urging the youth to emulate successful Taveuni natives such as Fijiana rugby captain Alfreda Fisher, legal practitioner Antonio Raivalita Yavalanavanua, and farmer-turned-entrepreneur Joji Masivesi. These individuals serve as role models in sports, business, and public service, exemplifying how perseverance and dedication can lead to success.

The initiative, organized by the Taveuni Empowerment of Women Support Group and supported by Women’s Fund Fiji, seeks to instill resilience and determination within the younger generation. It is a part of a broader movement across Fiji that supports and empowers youth by providing them with skills and opportunities, consequently building a brighter future. This campaign, among others in the country, underlines Fiji’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a resilient society.

Aligned with various efforts nationwide, the Rise Taveuni Campaign reiterates that, with adequate support and opportunities, the youth can reach significant milestones and contribute positively to their communities. It serves not just as a motivational platform but also as an assurance to young people that, regardless of their backgrounds, they can achieve their dreams with passion and perseverance.
