Riot Fest has announced the release of single-day tickets and its official schedule for the eagerly anticipated 20th annual punk-rock music festival, set to take place from September 19-21 at Douglass Park in North Lawndale. This year’s event will showcase over 90 bands across multiple stages.
The lineup features an impressive array of artists, including Blink-182, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Alkaline Trio, Rilo Kiley, and Knocked Loose on Friday, September 19; followed by Weezer, Jack White, Sex Pistols, All Time Low, and The Beach Boys on Saturday, September 20; and concluding with Green Day, IDLES, Jawbreaker, The Academy Is…, and Cobra Starship on Sunday, September 21.
While the set times and specific stage assignments for the performances have yet to be revealed, attendees can look forward to a unique aspect of this year’s festival: 20 bands will perform full albums live. Noteworthy albums include “The Blue Album” by Weezer and “Never Mind the Bollocks…” by Sex Pistols, among others.
In a bid to enhance the festival experience, Riot Fest has curated a special Spotify playlist featuring all the bands and their albums scheduled for full performances. Additional details regarding the complete schedule can be found on their official site.
Ticket prices for the three-day festival start at $326, with single-day tickets available for $110 and two-day passes for $220. Payment plans are offered on the Riot Fest website, making attendance more accessible.
After considerations of relocating to the suburbs last year, Riot Fest has confirmed its commitment to Douglass Park through 2027. Officials from Riot Fest and the Chicago Park District have struck a three-year deal which includes a significant investment of $1 million into Douglass Park over the next five years, addressing both community concerns and ensuring future festivals can thrive in the area.
This year’s Riot Fest promises a celebration of punk rock and community, with strong lineups and a thoughtful investment in the local environment.
