Goldie Hawn’s family may soon welcome a new talent into the entertainment industry. Kurt Russell, the Academy Award-winning actress’s long-term partner, recently shared that their 12-year-old granddaughter, Rio Hudson, is showcasing impressive dancing skills, hinting that she might be the next family member to pursue a career in Hollywood. During an exclusive interview with E! News, where he was accompanied by their son Wyatt Russell, Kurt noted that many affectionately refer to Rio as “Mini Goldie” due to her resemblance and potential talent.

Russell made it clear that Rio’s artistic inclinations run in the family, particularly through her mother, Erinn Bartlett, who was an actress when she married Oliver Hudson, Rio’s father. This emphasizes the family’s strong ties to the entertainment world. Rio isn’t the only one with aspirations in acting; her brothers, Wilder Hudson, 18, and Bodhi Hudson, 15, along with her cousin Ryder Robinson, 22, have begun to establish their own careers in acting.

Kurt reflected on the unique aspect of their family dynamics, stating that while many of them have gravitated toward acting, there hasn’t been a conscious effort to uphold a family tradition in the industry. “It’s an interesting family in that regard,” he explained.

In contrast, Kurt and Wyatt pointed out that the acting enthusiasm skipped over Kurt’s older son, Boston Russell, whom he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Wyatt humorously remarked that Boston, who has distanced himself from the acting scene, would make an excellent family therapist because of his grounded perspective amidst a family full of entertainers.

Kurt Russell is currently starring alongside Wyatt in the second season of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” which is set to premiere on February 27 on Apple TV. As the anticipation builds for this new season, viewers can look forward to exploring the evolving world of Monarch and the dramatic connections between its characters.

As the Hudson family’s next generation prepares to potentially enter the spotlight, it highlights a legacy of passion for the arts that continues to thrive, bringing forth a sense of hope for future talent. The dynamics within this family reflect a rich tapestry of creativity, further supporting the notion that talent truly does run in families.
