Ridge Holland Teases WWE NXT Comeback Amid Lisfranc Recovery

WWE NXT Superstar Ridge Holland recently shared a positive update on his recovery following foot surgery after suffering an injury during a match in TNA Wrestling. The injury occurred during a televised event in Edmonton, Alberta, when Holland awkwardly landed on his left leg while competing against Moose. The match was halted immediately, and Holland was escorted backstage without placing weight on his injured limb.

In his social media update, Holland expressed his optimism despite the challenges he has faced in his wrestling career. He acknowledged the frustrations that come with a “bumpy ride” but remained determined to return in “the best shape of my life.” He emphasized the importance of using this setback as a valuable lesson for his children.

In the video he shared, which was filmed at the Caribbean Royal Resort during a family getaway, Holland detailed his recovery process. He noted that he is hopeful to get back to the gym soon, stating, “So foot’s kind of recovering pretty well. Hopefully, I can get back into the gym [on] Monday.” He was scheduled to receive a cast and anticipates being in it for approximately three weeks before beginning the weight-bearing phase of his recovery.

Holland’s injury is classified as a Lisfranc injury, a complex condition affecting the midfoot that typically requires a lengthy healing period, usually ranging from six months to a year. Prior to his injury, he was playing a significant role in the TNA vs. NXT storyline, where he showcased his athleticism in a hard-hitting match against Mike Santana at the TNA Victory Road event and established himself as a formidable enforcer for the NXT brand.

As fans and peers rally behind him during his recovery, Holland’s positive attitude and commitment to his comeback serve as an inspiration, illustrating the resilience required in the professional wrestling world.
