Rewa Football Club is set to honor its successful football season with a grand celebration this Saturday in Nausori, marking its recent triumphs, including the FMF IDC 2025 victory and consecutive titles in the Extra Super League. Fans are encouraged to join the festivities, showcasing their support for the Delta Tigers by wearing red and bringing flags, drums, and banners.
The event will kick off at 10 AM with a gathering at Mistry Lane, followed by a vibrant street march through Nausori Town at 11 AM. The celebrations will culminate with a formal gathering at Ratu Cakobau Park at midday.
Nazeel Buksh, the president of Rewa FC, expressed gratitude to the players, officials, and supporters who have continually backed the team throughout the season. He highlighted that winning both major titles this year is a source of pride not only for the club but also for the entire district, symbolizing the team’s discipline and unity.
This celebration builds on a fruitful year for Rewa FC, which witnessed them clinching the Digicel Fiji Premier League title following a commanding 4-1 victory over Nadi earlier this season. They displayed exceptional skill and teamwork, with players like captain Setareki Hughes and winger Madhwan Gounder playing pivotal roles in securing their victories.
Moreover, their recognition at the 2024 Extra Supermarket-sponsored Fiji FA Awards Night further underscores Rewa’s achievements, where they received five awards, including Team of the Year and accolades for individual players, solidifying their status as a dominant force in Fijian football.
As the Delta Tigers prepare for this celebratory event, the community remains optimistic about the team’s future performance, driven by the spirit of unity and accomplishment that football brings to its passionate supporters.
