Rewa FC is gearing up for a crucial showdown against Labasa in the final leg of the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series, with head coach Priyant Manu expressing optimism about their chances. Following a solid 1-0 victory in the first leg, confidence is high among the players as they aim to secure either a draw or a narrow win to defend their title.

Coach Manu has been proactive in preparing the team, initiating training sessions earlier in the week to ensure that all players are in optimal condition for the decisive match. He underscored the need to tailor their game plan to counter Labasa’s playing style effectively.

“The boys have been preparing really well. We started our training from Monday with recovery, and on Tuesday, we intensified our sessions,” Manu stated. “We know what to expect from Labasa, so we are preparing the team comprehensively.”

Focusing on maintaining their edge, Manu noted that the team has remained concentrated since the first leg, emphasizing that the final match will require even more focus as they strive to defend their championship. Although new players have adapted well to the squad, he recognized the potential for further improvement and expressed hope that they would elevate their performance in the upcoming encounter.

The decisive match against Labasa is scheduled to take place at Subrail Park in Labasa at 1.30 PM this Saturday. With determination and strategic preparation, Rewa FC is poised to put forth a strong effort in their title defense.
