Rewa Clinches 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship in Fiji

Stratum Construction Rewa recently celebrated a monumental victory, capturing the 2025 FMF Inter-District Championship title after a remarkable 15-year drought. The team achieved this historic win with a tight 1-0 score against RC Manubhai Ba at Govind Park, which was packed with 13,000 enthusiastic fans, showcasing the deep-rooted passion for football in the community.

The match featured an intense opening from Ba, but Rewa’s goalkeeper, James Do’oro, was instrumental in keeping the scoreline even, showcasing exceptional skills that led to a scoreless first half. The turning point came in the 76th minute when Rewa earned a penalty after player Asivorosi Rabo was fouled in the box. Patrick Joseph rose to the occasion, converting the penalty to put Rewa ahead.

The final moments of the match were filled with tension as Rewa played with one less player after Kavaia Rawaqa received a red card. Ba pressed hard for an equalizer but faced their own setbacks, losing Praneel Naidu to a red card late in the game.
