Apple Original Films, in collaboration with the team behind Top Gun: Maverick, is set to release an exhilarating new film titled F1 The Movie, featuring Brad Pitt in the leading role and directed by Joseph Kosinski. This film is produced by a stellar lineup including Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski himself, seven-time FORMULA 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, and others.

The storyline centers on Sonny Hayes, played by Pitt, a once-promising star of FORMULA 1 whose career was jeopardized by a devastating accident on the track in the 1990s. Now, three decades later, Sonny is a seasoned racer for hire. He reunites with his former teammate Ruben Cervantes, portrayed by Javier Bardem, who is facing the collapse of his struggling FORMULA 1 team. Ruben persuades Sonny to make a comeback, providing him with an opportunity to save the team and reclaim his position at the pinnacle of the sport. The narrative evolves as Sonny grapples with his turbulent past while navigating the fierce dynamics with his rookie teammate Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris, who is eager to establish his presence on the racing circuit.
