Renogy, a prominent manufacturer of off-grid products and systems for campers, has unveiled its innovative solid-state lithium battery, which aims to enhance RV power systems in three significant ways at the Elkhart RV Open House. This battery is characterized by its notably thin profile, advanced solid-state technology, and Smart Monitoring features that allow for remote control through Bluetooth and mobile app connectivity, as stated in their announcement.
The Renogy 12V 104Ah SUPER SLIM SOLID STATE Lithium Battery is set to transform the off-grid RV market. Tiffany Dorin, the Director of Sales & Marketing, commented, “Our goal is to provide OEMs with the most intelligent, space-efficient, and energy-dense power source. Solid-state batteries offer lightweight and durable off-grid power solutions for recreational vehicles and other mobile applications.”
Angela Zhang, Director of Global Marketing Services, noted that the technical benefits of Renogy’s new batteries, compared to traditional liquid electrolyte batteries, alongside logistical and economic advantages, make them an optimal choice for off-grid power requirements in nearly all recreational vehicles.
Standing at just 2.4 inches tall, this exceptionally thin battery can be installed in areas that traditional batteries cannot fit. OEMs can utilize previously unused spaces—such as under seats, beneath the floor, and in-wall compartments—to place the slim solid-state Renogy batteries.
Solid-state technology also provides additional advantages for RV owners, including a solid electrolyte that minimizes fire and leak risks. These batteries charge more efficiently, are more durable than standard lithium batteries, and can operate across a wider range of temperatures.
Furthermore, the Smart Battery offers RV owners user-friendly connectivity options, such as RV-C integration and Bluetooth, enabling them to connect to the battery via a smartphone app, in addition to monitoring systems inside the RV.
