The news was first reported by St. Louis Magazine, which revealed that his colleagues learned of the change during a staff meeting on Wednesday morning. However, details surrounding the circumstances of his departure remain unclear as neither the station nor Knott has commented on the matter.

Recently, he emceed the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis’ 107th Annual Dinner as well as the St. Louis American Foundation’s 23rd Annual Salute to Excellence in Business Awards Luncheon.
