Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jordan Renaud has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, confirming his departure from the program. According to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer, Renaud becomes the third player this offseason to leave Alabama at the “bandit” position, following LT Overton and Keon Keeley. Overton, the starter at the position, has moved on to the 2026 NFL draft after exhausting his eligibility, while Keeley has transferred to Notre Dame.
Renaud, a member of Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class, has seen significant playing time over the past three seasons in Tuscaloosa, accumulating a total of 35 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss (TFL), and half a sack across 29 games. This past season as a redshirt sophomore, he played in 15 games, recording 18 tackles and 1.5 TFL.
Before joining Alabama, Renaud was highly regarded, ranking as the nation’s No. 60 overall prospect and the No. 10 edge rusher in the 2023 class, as per 247Sports Composite rankings.
The departure of Renaud continues a notable trend for Alabama this offseason, raising questions about the future of the defensive line as the team looks to fortify its roster amid these changes. Fans and analysts will be watching closely to see where Renaud decides to continue his football career.
