CANFIELD — Stanley J. Miglets Jr., aged 73, passed away on the evening of November 26, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Born on April 15, 1951, in Youngstown, Stanley was the son of the late Stanley J. Miglets Sr. and Helen Kohowski Miglets. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud member of the first graduating class of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1969.
Stan dedicated 46 years of his life to General Motors in Lordstown, retiring in 2016. Known for his many talents, he had a passion for working on cars, camping, and spending time at his beloved Indian Creek at Geneva-on-the-Lake. An enthusiastic traveler, Stan enjoyed exploring nature and had a deep appreciation for watching thunderstorms, finding solace in their beauty. Above all, he treasured moments spent with his family, especially attending his grandchildren’s sports events where his support was a source of pride for them.
Stan is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Debra S. Ward Miglets, whom he married on May 5, 1973, at St. Stanislaus Church; his daughter, Mandi (Greg) Young of Austintown; his son, Eric (Debbie) Miglets also of Austintown; three grandchildren—Dakota, Gabrielle, and Dominic Miglets; a great-grandson, Atlas Miglets; and his three sisters, Paulette Sculli of Austintown, Karen (Chuck) Boros of Austintown, and Helaine (Ken) Yash of Diamond. He also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews, along with an aunt, Camille Allen, and several extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home, located at 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 7 p.m.
