Earlier this year, Beverly completed a farewell tour that celebrated his contributions, garnering recognition from numerous figures in the music and entertainment industry.

The song “Before I Let Go” first appeared on the group’s 1981 album, “Live In New Orleans,” and has become a significant part of the cultural heritage within the Black community and an anthem of the ESSENCE Festival of Culture.

During the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, held at Caesars Superdome, Beverly was honored with a proclamation from Marc E. Morial and the current Mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell.
