Her death was confirmed by her friend Stepfanie Kramer, who highlighted Delano’s vibrant spirit and outstanding comedic talent.

Kramer described Delano as “big and bold,” noting that her sharp wit and impeccable comic timing made her a standout in every role she played. “Her earthy and raucous presence enabled her to always own the room,” added Kramer, emphasizing Delano’s unique ability to captivate audiences.

Delano had a diverse television career, appearing in notable series such as “L.A. Law,” where she had a romance with Douglas Brackman Jr., and guest roles on “Falcon Crest,” “ER,” “Monk,” and “Six Feet Under,” among others. Particularly memorable was her recurring role in “Northern Exposure,” which she portrayed over 12 episodes, and her portrayal of a formidable teacher in “Popular,” a role she played for 36 episodes.

Born on January 29, 1957, in Los Angeles, Delano came from a family with a connection to the entertainment industry. Her cousin Rick Sparks recalled how studio visits as a child ignited her passion for acting. Delano began her acting career at the young age of six and graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts/West, marking the beginning of over 40 years in the industry.

Throughout her career, Delano featured in various films including “Ratboy,” “A Mighty Wind,” and “The Wicker Man.” She also lent her voice to characters in animated series like “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” and “Teen Titans,” showcasing her versatility.
