The 2026 Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention has officially launched its registration, marking a pivotal step forward for women’s empowerment and leadership across Fiji. This year’s event aims to establish a vibrant platform for women to learn, network, and forge vital partnerships that can drive their success.
Eldon Eastgate, President of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, underscored the significance of women’s roles in shaping the country’s future. He noted that while many women in Fiji are already spearheading transformative initiatives, considerable barriers still impede their progress.
“At FCEF, we believe empowering women is not just the right thing to do; it is essential for Fiji’s economic growth. When women have access to skills, resources, and leadership opportunities, they create businesses, drive innovation, and strengthen our workforce,” Eastgate remarked. He also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the WIN team, sponsors, partners, and all supporters who have made the convention a reality.
The convention, slated to take place over two days, will focus on pressing issues such as policies, leadership development, access to capital, the implications of artificial intelligence, financial innovation, and gender-responsive climate action. Eastgate emphasized the urgent need for all stakeholders to invest in women in both meaningful and sustainable ways.
The theme for this year’s WIN Convention is “Give to Gain: Investing in Women Transforms Our Future,” which encapsulates the profound impact of women’s empowerment on the community and the future of Fiji. This initiative not only aims to elevate the status of women but also highlights their crucial contributions to the national economy and society as a whole.
As the convention approaches, the hope is to inspire a collective commitment toward fostering an environment where women can thrive and lead, ultimately contributing to a brighter future for all.
