Reddit is making a significant move into the sports marketing industry with the announcement of new partnerships with major sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, and NASCAR.

Starting Monday, Reddit users will have access to a range of exclusive content, including video highlights from games and tournaments, player “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions, behind-the-scenes videos, and other unique material shared by the leagues throughout their seasons and major events.

The platform revealed it boasts over 1,000 active communities focused on sports, and engagement in these forums has surged. Screenviews of sports-related content have risen by 26% in the past year.

The sports marketing industry is anticipated to grow by more than 20% to exceed $55 billion by 2030, with fans increasingly turning to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter) for sports content.

In its efforts to boost revenue leading up to its public offering, Reddit previously secured a $60 million annual AI licensing deal with Google in February. Following the recent announcement of the sports partnerships, Reddit’s stock rose nearly 7% on Monday.
