Reddick: Bucs Mirror Eagles’ Culture Ahead of Sunday’s Showdown

The Philadelphia Eagles have established themselves as a powerhouse in the NFC, having secured two Super Bowl victories in the past eight years. Their success underscores the strategic prowess of Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, whose efforts in rebuilding the team’s roster have positioned him as a future Hall of Fame inductee.

Former Eagles player and now Buccaneers edge rusher, Haason Reddick, shared his observations on the Buccaneers Radio Network. Reddick, who spent two successful Pro Bowl seasons with the Eagles, noted a sense of familiarity with the environment in Tampa Bay, drawing parallels between the Buccaneers and his former team. He reflected on the enduring influence of Tom Brady’s winning culture at One Buc Palace, likening it to the ethos he experienced with the Eagles.

Reddick emphasized the shared objective between his current and former teams, stating that the mentality of winning and doing whatever is necessary to secure a victory persists in Tampa Bay. “The goal is always the same, the culture is the same,” Reddick said. “Forgive me for saying it, but [the Bucs] remind me of when I was with the Eagles… Everybody has a do-whatever-needs-to-be-done-so-we-can-get-the-win mentality. Being here my first three games, undoubtedly so we have that here,” he continued, expressing optimism about the Buccaneers’ prospects.

While Reddick noted the cultural parallels, he didn’t comment on the Buccaneers’ recent dominance over the Eagles, including a playoff victory two seasons ago and a triumph last September in Tampa. These matchups have added intrigue to the upcoming game, as the Eagles and Buccaneers are set to face off this Sunday at The Licht House, further fueling the competition between these two formidable teams.
