Real Madrid’s Ratings Reveal a Tough Night Against Lille

In a disappointing match for Real Madrid against Lille, player ratings reflect a challenging performance from the team.

Andriy Lunin received a score of 7 for a critical double save early in the match that prevented Lille from taking an early lead.

Dani Carvajal was rated at 4, as he struggled to balance his role between defense and attack, frequently operating as a right winger but only completing one successful cross out of six attempts, while also having trouble defending against Mitchel Bakker.

Antonio Rudiger earned a score of 5 after unexpectedly losing several duels to Jonathan David and Edon Zhegrova. Although he attempted to advance play with the ball, he lacked support from teammates.

Eder Militao received a score of 6 but had to leave the game around the 60-minute mark due to a suspected left thigh injury.

Ferland Mendy was rated at 3 for an ineffective first half leading to his substitution at halftime. He was unable to contribute to the attack and lost possession five times.

Tchouameni also scored a 4, as his pairing with Camavinga in midfield struggled for both France and Real Madrid, with Tchouameni struggling under the added pressure to play the ball.

Eduardo Camavinga, making his first start of the season, was rated at 4. He appeared out of rhythm and was penalized for a handball that led to Lille’s only goal.

Fede Valverde received a score of 5. While ideally suited for a central midfield role, he found himself positioned on the right wing.

Jude Bellingham, rated at 5.5, made efforts to drive the team forward but was hindered by a lack of cohesion among the players. His heat map indicated he largely operated on the left flank, suggesting a need for a more central position.

Vinicius Junior scored a 4 after struggling with ball retention, losing possession a team-high 18 times, although he managed two shots on target and key passes.

Endrick was rated at 2.5, as he missed an early scoring opportunity and failed to make an impact against Lille’s robust defense.

Substitutes also had mixed performances. Fran Garcia scored 5 for his uninspiring addition in the second half. Arda Guler, rated at 7, stood out by creating significant chances, including a close header saved by the Lille goalkeeper. Luka Modric, with a score of 5.5, played well by assisting Guler but seemed physically overmatched. Lastly, Kylian Mbappe earned a disappointing score of 2, contributing very little during his 33 minutes on the field, with no shots or key passes and losing possession frequently.
