Razorbacks Welcome International Basketball Stars to 2025 Class

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball head coach Mike Neighbors has proudly announced the signing of three talented athletes from different countries as part of the 2025 recruiting class. This year’s newcomers reflect the program’s commitment to forging relationships and attracting players who excel in both academics and athletics.

In discussing the new signees, Coach Neighbors stated, “While college athletics have experienced significant changes over the past few years, one constant is the importance of cultivating relationships to build successful teams. Our 2025 class is a testament to our coaching staff’s dedication in identifying prospects who not only have immense talent but who also feel at home in Fayetteville and at the University of Arkansas.”

The three latest additions to the Razorbacks are:

Bonnie Deas, a 5’9 guard from Melbourne, Australia, previously played for the Sydney Flames and was invited to the WNBA All-Star Weekend as a Top 40 player globally. During the FIBA 18-under Asia Cup, Deas excelled by averaging 13.8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, contributing to Australia’s championship victory over China. Her shooting accuracy of 52.5% from the field exemplifies her offensive capabilities, making her a dynamic addition to the team.

Aisha Salem Hassan, a 5’7 guard from Alexandria, Egypt, has made her mark not only as a player for the Egyptian National Team but also as MVP at Basketball Without Borders, South Africa. Chosen over Ivy League contenders Yale and Columbia, Aisha’s fast-paced style mirrors the coaching philosophy of Coach Neighbors. Her strong leadership and defensive prowess make her an asset to the Razorbacks, ensuring she will have a positive influence on her teammates.

Harmonie Ware, standing at 5’10, hails from Cleveland, TN. A standout at Bradley Central High School, she led her team to back-to-back Class 4A titles and was named MVP of the state tournament after scoring 29 points in the championship game. Ware’s versatility as a guard and her solid defensive skills highlight her readiness to contribute to the Razorbacks’ success.

Looking ahead, Arkansas women’s basketball is set to host UT-Arlington on November 14, with a game start scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Fans can tune in via SEC Network+.

This new class adds excitement to the Razorbacks’ future, promising a blend of international talent and local dedication. As these young athletes settle into their roles, their contributions could amplify Arkansas’s competitiveness in women’s basketball, nurturing a winning culture within the program.
