ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arkansas Razorbacks faced heartbreak as they concluded the Arlington era of the Southwest Classic rivalry. In a tough matchup against No. 24 Texas A&M, the Razorbacks (3-2, 1-1 SEC) let a fourth-quarter lead slip away, ultimately losing 21-17. The Aggies (4-1, 2-0) seized their first lead of the game with nine minutes left, thanks to a 5-yard touchdown pass from Marcel Reed to Tre Watson.
Despite a solid performance from Arkansas’ defense, the offense struggled to protect quarterback Taylen Green and posted its lowest rushing output of the season with just 100 yards. A crucial strip sack by Texas A&M’s Nic Scourton proved to be the turning point.
