The Baltimore Ravens have secured quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley on a two-year contract valued at up to $11 million, as confirmed by his agent Drew Rosenhaus. This move marks Huntley’s continued presence in Baltimore as he steps back into his role as the established backup to starter Lamar Jackson.
Huntley’s return comes after a notable performance in the 2025 season, where he showcased his ability in key moments. He won both games he started, highlighted by a pivotal Week 17 victory at Lambeau Field. His impressive performance included going 10-of-15 for 68 yards in a relief appearance against the Rams, effectively demonstrating his capabilities in high-pressure situations. Throughout his five appearances, he completed 52 of 67 passes for 426 yards and two touchdowns, further solidifying his position with the team.
His contributions were especially significant during Jackson’s injury struggles last season when Huntley helped maintain the team’s competitiveness. Initially, the Ravens had Jackson and Cooper Rush on the roster, but after Huntley was cut by Cleveland and subsequently joined the Ravens’ practice squad, he was brought back to provide depth at quarterback when needed. When Jackson suffered a hamstring injury against the Chiefs, it was Rush who started, but Huntley’s influence in earlier games established him as a valuable asset.
With this signing, the Ravens reinforce their quarterback room, ensuring they have a reliable backup to support Jackson as they aim for success in the upcoming season. Huntley’s familiarization with the Ravens’ offense and his demonstrated resilience promise to be beneficial as the team navigates the challenges ahead.
