A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery that occurred in Raiwaqa yesterday morning. Police reports indicate that the suspect, along with two accomplices, allegedly assaulted a man who was waiting for a bus outside the Milverton Rd Top Shop.
During the attack, the victim was robbed of his watch and $9 in cash. Following the incident, he promptly reported the crime to the authorities, which led to a swift police response in search of the assailants.
The suspect was found and detained along Nairai Rd. He is currently in custody and being questioned at the Raiwaqa Police Station. Meanwhile, police are actively continuing their search for the other individuals involved in the robbery.
