The 2025 season has taken a significant turn for the Las Vegas Raiders, as tight end Brock Bowers and safety Jeremy Chinn have been sidelined due to injuries. The team announced on Wednesday that Bowers has been placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury that has plagued him throughout the season. Players on IR are required to remain out for a minimum of four weeks, effectively ending the sophomore tight end’s season.
Bowers has already missed three games due to his knee issues but managed to make a notable impact in the games he played, recording 680 receiving yards on 64 receptions and scoring seven touchdowns in 12 appearances. His performance made him a standout on the Raiders’ roster, leading all pass-catchers. In recognition of his efforts, Bowers was selected to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games alongside teammate Maxx Crosby, marking his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection.
On the defensive side, Jeremy Chinn’s contributions have also been significant this season. He has participated in all 15 games and has been a consistent presence on the field, playing every defensive snap until now. With a total of 114 combined tackles, two quarterback hits, one sack, two passes defended, and two forced fumbles, Chinn’s performance has highlighted his importance to the Raiders’ defense.
While the losses of Bowers and Chinn are undoubtedly setbacks for the team, the Raiders will look to capitalize on the remaining strengths within their roster as they push forward in the challenging season. The Raiders’ determination and resilience will be key as they navigate these injuries, keeping hopes alive for future successes.
