In a delightful turn of events, a pug named Vito has achieved the prestigious title of Best in Show at the 92nd annual National Dog Show Presented by Purina, marking the first time in over 20 years that this breed has won this honor. Vito, who is just 2½ years old, is recognized as the top pug in all show systems as well as the second-ranked toy dog in the United States.

Vito has an impressive record, having won 25 best-in-show awards during his young career. His success includes being named best of breed at the renowned Westminster Dog Show in New York City and the AKC National Show in the previous year.

Co-owner Carolyn Koch from Chapel Hill, North Carolina expressed her pride in Vito’s achievements, referring to pugs as “her breed” and sharing her joy in witnessing Vito’s impact in the competitive world of dog shows.
