A funeral service company is making prom night special for local students by providing free limousine transportation as part of its community initiative. Hillier’s Funeral Service, located in Swindon, is now in its third year of this program, which aims to alleviate financial pressures on families during a significant event in their children’s lives.
The initiative allows students to arrive at their school proms with style and flair, with 28 limousines available for the occasion. Rebecca Hillier, the director of Hillier’s Funeral Service, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the local community. Prom is a milestone event for many young people, and we wanted to play a part in making it memorable for everyone, regardless of their circumstances.”
In lieu of payment for the transportation, the company encourages families to make donations to a charity of their choosing. This method not only provides a service for students but also promotes charitable giving—last year’s program raised an impressive £2,700 for various good causes.
