Sid Eudy, the pro wrestling icon known for his impressive stature and strong presence in the 1990s, has passed away at the age of 63, as confirmed by the Crittenden County coroner in Arkansas. Eudy resided in Marion, Arkansas, with his wife, Sabrina Estes Eudy, and their son, Gunnar, shared the news of his father’s death on social media, stating that Eudy had been battling cancer for several years.
During his career, Eudy, also recognized as Sycho Sid and Sid Vicious, achieved significant success, winning the WWF championship twice, along with two WCW world heavyweight championships and two USWA unified world heavyweight championships. He was a prominent figure in professional wrestling during the 1990s, participating in numerous pay-per-view events for both WWF and WCW, including WrestleMania VIII and XIII and WCW’s Starrcade.
Standing tall at 6 feet, 9 inches, Eudy was known for his physical prowess and theatrical performances. His WWE biography highlighted him as one of the most fearsome Superstars in wrestling history, mentioning his fierce rivalries with legends such as Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart.
Eudy began his wrestling career in WCW in 1989 and quickly made a name for himself in WWE by 1991, winning the WWE championship in both 1996 and 1997, where he earned the moniker “The Master and Ruler of the World.”
