The Prime Minister has announced a Cabinet reshuffle, which will take effect on January 19, 2026, as the Coalition Government embarks on its fourth year in power. This strategic realignment is designed to enhance governance and improve the management of ministerial duties within the administration.
Among the key appointments is Sakiasi Ditoka, who will step into the role of Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade. Mosese Bulitavu will take charge of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, while Lynda Tabuya has been designated as the Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change. Charan Jeath Singh will serve as the Minister for Public Enterprises, Multi-Ethnic Affairs, Culture, Heritage, and Arts.
In addition, Ifereimi Vasu has been appointed to oversee iTaukei Affairs, and Tomasi Tunabuna will be responsible for Agriculture and the Sugar Industry. The Prime Minister will continue to manage Civil Service and Strategic Planning, alongside National Development and Statistics. Furthermore, Sachida Nand has been reassigned to the position of Assistant Minister for Commerce and Business Development.
