Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Washington for its support in defending Ukraine against Russian aggression, downplaying a recent gaffe by U.S. President Joe Biden. During his arrival in Ireland on Saturday, Zelenskyy addressed the incident where Biden mistakenly referred to him as Russian President Vladimir Putin during introductions at a NATO summit in Washington. Despite the error, Zelenskyy remained positive, stating, “It was a mistake. The United States gave a lot of support for Ukrainians — we can forget some mistakes.”
