Post Malone has launched an extensive charm offensive in Nashville, culminating in a new country album titled “F-1 Trillion.” The album features a star-studded lineup, including icons like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr., as well as established names such as Tim McGraw and Blake Shelton. Current chart-topper Morgan Wallen and country megastar Luke Combs also lend their talents, alongside virtuosos like Chris Stapleton and Bill Strings, and rising stars such as Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson. Out of the album’s 18 tracks, only three are not duets, and Post Malone surprised fans with nine bonus solo tracks released shortly after the main album.
The album’s lead single, “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, has already topped the charts and showcases a quintessential country aesthetic, complete with themes of pickup trucks, beer, and Americana. Lyrically, the album delves into the familiar motifs of romance, nightlife, and the trials of life, featuring references to cars, heartbreaks, and, notably, a prominent emphasis on alcohol.
Originally from Texas, Post Malone transitioned from being a singer to a successful rapper, but he has shifted his focus toward acoustic performance and country music in recent years. His collaboration with Nashville has proven fruitful, as many industry insiders commend his genuine talent and likable personality.
The album is primarily produced by his longtime collaborators Louis Bell and Charlie Handsome, who have extensive experience in the pop and hip-hop scenes. Despite their backgrounds, the songwriting features deep Nashville roots with contributions from a roster of established songwriters. Notable names include Ashley Gorely, a 2023 songwriter of the year, and Ernest, who has worked with numerous artists across genres. Other prominent contributors are James McNair and Chandler Walters, among others.
The production of “F-1 Trillion” is largely credited to Bell and Handsome, who bring their expertise to each track. Overall, the album highlights Post Malone’s dedication to integrating into the country music scene while collaborating with some of its most celebrated songwriters and artists.
