Last November, Post Malone left a lasting impression at the CMA Awards, where he honored the late country icon Joe Diffie in a performance alongside HARDY and Morgan Wallen. During the event, he hinted at a long-anticipated project: his own country album.
That project has now been released. Titled F-1 Trillion, this marks Post’s debut in the country genre, produced by Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell. The album includes contributions from legendary artists like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr., as well as emerging talents such as Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, among others.
Since first alluding to the album, Post Malone has made significant strides within the country music community. He has performed at Nashville’s renowned Bluebird Cafe with Wilson and participated in a country covers set at Stagecoach this summer. His collaboration with Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” served as the lead single from F-1 Trillion, marking its live debut after his own performance at the festival. Two notable collaborations have followed: “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton and “Guy For That” with Luke Combs.
To celebrate the album’s release, Post Malone made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Wednesday (Aug. 14), where he was joined by several collaborators from the album, including Wilson, Shelton, and Brad Paisley.
Earlier this year, he achieved another No. 1 hit with his feature on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight,” and he also collaborated with Beyoncé on the country-inspired Cowboy Carter, singing on “LEVII’S JEANS.”
Post Malone has had 80 songs charted on the Hot 100, including six No. 1 hits. Every one of his albums has reached the top five on the Billboard 200, with two topping the chart: beerbongs & bentleys (2018) and Hollywood’s Bleeding (2019). He has consistently released an album each year since 2022, starting with Twelve Carat Toothache, followed by Austin, and now F-1 Trillion.
In an update on Friday morning (Aug. 16), Post Malone released nine new tracks titled F-1 Trillion (Long Bed). These solo tracks, which lean more towards traditional country sounds than those on F-1 Trillion, allow him to explore his Texas roots and country authenticity. This new release works well as a complementary collection, particularly for fans seeking honky tonk and western swing elements.
