Post Malone Goes Country: What to Expect from F-1 Trillion

Last November, Post Malone captivated the audience during his performance at the CMA Awards, where he honored the late country music icon Joe Diffie alongside artists HARDY and Morgan Wallen. After the show, he hinted at a long-anticipated project that many fans have been eager for: his own country album.

This project has officially launched. Titled F-1 Trillion, it marks Post Malone’s debut in the country genre, produced by Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell. The album features collaborations with a mix of legendary artists such as Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr., as well as rising stars like Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, among others.

Since announcing the album, Post Malone has actively engaged with the country music community. He performed at the renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville with Lainey Wilson and participated in a guest-heavy country covers set at Stagecoach. During this event, he joined Morgan Wallen on stage to debut their collaborative hit “I Had Some Help,” which serves as the lead single for F-1 Trillion. The album also includes two notable collaborations: “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton and “Guy For That” with Luke Combs.

To commemorate the album’s release, Post Malone made a significant debut at the Grand Ole Opry on August 14, where he was joined by several collaborators from the album, including Shelton, Wilson, and Brad Paisley.

Earlier this year, Post Malone achieved another No. 1 hit with his feature on Taylor Swift’s song “Fortnight.” He also lent his vocals to Beyoncé’s country-inspired track “LEVII’S JEANS” from the album Cowboy Carter.

Throughout his career, Post has charted 80 songs on the Hot 100, with six reaching No. 1. All five of his albums have entered the top five on the Billboard 200, including two No. 1 hits: 2018’s beerbongs & bentleys and 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding. Since 2022, he has consistently released an album each year, starting with Twelve Carat Toothache, followed by Austin, and now F-1 Trillion.

An early analysis of the standout tracks from this much-anticipated country album will follow.
