Last November, Post Malone surprised audiences with his performance at the CMA Awards, where he honored the late country legend Joe Diffie alongside HARDY and Morgan Wallen. Backstage, he hinted at a long-anticipated project: his own country album.
That project has now launched. Titled F-1 Trillion, this marks Post’s country debut, produced by Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell. The album showcases a range of artists from country icons like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr. to emerging stars such as Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, among many others.
Since initially teasing the album, Post has actively engaged with the country music scene. He performed at Nashville’s renowned Bluebird Cafe with Wilson and delivered a country covers set full of collaborations at Stagecoach this summer. During this event, he joined Morgan Wallen on stage to perform their hit “I Had Some Help,” which serves as the lead single from F-1 Trillion. Additional star-studded collaborations include “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton and “Guy For That” featuring Luke Combs.
This week, Post celebrated the album’s launch with a significant event, making his Grand Ole Opry debut on August 14, inviting several collaborators from the album, including Wilson, Shelton, and Brad Paisley.
Earlier this year, Post achieved another No. 1 hit with his feature on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight.” He also collaborated with Beyoncé on the country-themed track “LEVII’S JEANS” from her project Cowboy Carter.
Throughout his career, Post has placed 80 songs on the Hot 100, including six that reached No. 1. All five of his albums have debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200, with two reaching No. 1, including 2018’s beerbongs & bentleys and 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding. Since 2022, he has consistently released an album each year, starting with Twelve Carat Toothache, followed by last year’s Austin, and now F-1 Trillion.
In an update on August 16, Post Malone released nine new tracks under the title F-1 Trillion (Long Bed). These songs are primarily solo efforts, showcasing a more traditional country sound than the original album, allowing him to display his Texas roots and country credentials. This addition complements the album, particularly for those seeking some honky-tonk and western swing vibes.
