Post Malone Goes Country: A New Era with “F-1 Trillion”

Last November, Post Malone captivated audiences with his performance at the CMA Awards, where he honored the late country legend Joe Diffie alongside HARDY and Morgan Wallen. Following the event, he hinted at a long-anticipated project: his own country album.

The wait is over with the release of his debut country album, titled “F-1 Trillion.” Produced by Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell, the album showcases a diverse array of collaborations featuring country icons like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr., as well as emerging talents such as Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll.

Since announcing the album, Post Malone has made significant efforts to integrate into the country music scene. He has performed at the renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville with Wilson and took part in a star-studded country covers set at Stagecoach this summer. There, he joined Morgan Wallen on stage for the live premiere of their hit “I Had Some Help,” which is also the lead single for “F-1 Trillion.” Additional standout collaborations include “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton and “Guy For That” with Luke Combs.

In celebration of the album’s release, Post made a historic debut at the Grand Ole Opry on August 14, welcoming several collaborators, including Wilson, Shelton, and Brad Paisley.

Earlier this year, Post achieved another No. 1 hit with his feature on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” and collaborated with Beyoncé on the country-inspired track “LEVII’S JEANS” from the album Cowboy Carter. Throughout his career, he has placed 80 songs on the Hot 100, including six No. 1 hits. All five of his albums have reached the top five on the Billboard 200, with two hitting No. 1: “beerbongs & bentleys” (2018) and “Hollywood’s Bleeding” (2019). Since 2022, he has released an album each year, starting with “Twelve Carat Toothache,” followed by “Austin,” and now “F-1 Trillion.”

On August 16, Post Malone further expanded the project with “F-1 Trillion (Long Bed),” featuring nine new solo tracks that lean more traditional in country sound, highlighting his Texas roots and country credentials. This release serves as a companion to the main album, appealing to fans of honky tonk and western swing music.
