In a decisive advancement for Fiji and Vanuatu relations, the Vanuatu government has officially granted land for Fiji’s Diplomatic Chancery in Port Vila. The formal handover occurred during a ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Suva, where Lenora Qereqeretabua, the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs of Fiji, received the land lease documents from Her Excellency Mrs. Viranria Brown, the High Commissioner of Vanuatu to Fiji. This act vividly illustrates Vanuatu’s commitment to fostering a closer diplomatic and economic alliance with Fiji.
Qereqeretabua expressed heartfelt thanks to the Vanuatu government and its people for their generous gesture and longstanding friendship.
